Clearly much needs to be done to lessen the racial gap in anthropology, and one thing that we can do is bring to light the work of black anthropologists in the field. Throughout this series, I also want to highlight one woman who is not within the field of anthropology at the end of every post. Black women have contributed to so many other fields in addition to anthropology that it would be a shame to not acknowledge their work throughout the world.
